Horizon Zero Dawn features the gigantic robots called Tallnecks. They are quite useful since they reveal to Aloy large map areas.

Locating The Tallnecks

Aloy can easily stumble into or two of them in her travels. Players can easily ride them since these beasts are harmless despite their gigantic sizes. Players will have to do some side missions to override the Tallneck's signal. Complete the quest and the fog in certain areas of the map will disappear. Aloy's HUD will designate the Tallnecks as icons in the uncovered areas of the map.

How To Ride A Tallneck

The override control for this dinosaur-sized beast is on the top of its head. Initially, the prospect of climbing and riding this mechanical giant seems daunting at first. Upon closer inspection, players will notice some sort of platforms protruding in its neck. The idea is to jump from one platform to another until Aloy reaches the top of the head. Players can now override the beast's control.

About Horizon Zero Dawn

This upcoming game was developed by Guerrilla Games and due for release on Feb. 28 in North America. The Europeans though would have to wait until March 1 to get their copy. This post-apocalyptic futuristic game is an RPG with only a single player mode. It's a shame that it does not feature a multiplayer mode considering that the game is set in an open world environment.

Some were lucky enough to play an advance copy and as a result, some guides were quickly produced. Some of the earlier guides covered the Nora Armor and the Cauldrons dungeons. Sony Interactive is the game's publisher which is probably the reason why it's only available to the PS4 console only.
