Samsung Galaxy J7 Is Heading To Verizon As 'Samsung Galaxy J7 V'

We have seen enough evidence to confirm the theory that the 2017 Samsung Galaxy J7 is on its way. In fact, the upcoming 2017 Samsung Galaxy J7, which is the successor of the 2016 Galaxy J7, is expected to be revealed at a press event at the MWC that will happen this month. Samsung Galaxy J7 having the model number SM-727 is heading to Verizon under the name of Samsung Galaxy J7 V.

'Samsung Galaxy J7 V' Is Heading To Verizon

According to TechTimes, Famous leaker Evan Blass claimed on Twitter that Samsung's upcoming refresh of the 2016 Galaxy J7 will be available in the US with Verizon. As mentioned in the tweet, the letter "V" in the Samsung Galaxy J7 V represents the name of a smartphone in the Verizon variant. However, Verizon is yet to confirm the release date of this handset on its network and how much it’s going to require.

Since the 2017 Samsung Galaxy J7 is going to be just a mid-range smartphone, the specs and features will be that something to brag about. The Verizon variant of the Galaxy J7 is likely to sport a 5.5-inch display which features a resolution of 1080 X 1920 pixels. In addition to that, the handset is also rumored to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, clocked at 2 GHz and deploy Adreno 506 GPU.

The leaks also hinted that the Samsung Galaxy J7 V may offer either 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone could also be equipped with an onboard storage of 16 GB but can be expanded just like the 2016 version. It is likely to feature an 8 megapixel rear as well as a 5-megapixel front camera. The upcoming Samsung Galaxy J7 V may come pre-loaded with the Android 6.0 Marshmallow and may offer both the LTE and HSPA connectivity.

The Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro

As reported by UberGizmo, MVNO carrier TracFone is also rumored to carry this smartphone under the brand name Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro. Just a couple of weeks ago, a trademark for this rumored brand name was filed. The latest leaks claimed that Verizon will probably start selling the Samsung Galaxy J7 V in the U.S. Then, maybe after a couple of months or weeks, Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro will be available.
