Persona 5 News: Locals Complaining About Fans of Game in Japan

Some Persona 5 fans are a bit out of control as the local residents in Tokyo are beginning to file complaints against them. On the other hand, a new English gameplay footage shows off the mysterious Velvet Room.

Persona 5 Fans Causing Trouble in Tokyo

In light of the game's release in Japan, Kotaku reports that Atlus is asking players to stop causing trouble in Tokyo. The fictional location is actually inspired from the said area as many of the real-world spots are in the main game. Some of these iconic areas range from a coin laundry, cafe and even a batting cage.

Fans have supposedly been visiting the locations and have been causing trouble. The issue has gotten so out of hand that Atlus had to address it on the game's official website. Locals are reporting these players have been 'violating society's manners' like damaging property, leaving trash and even trespassing for the sole reason of having a photoshoot. Since then, the studio has urged fans to cooperate and contain the situation.

That aside, there is a new gameplay video revolving around the Velvet Room and its features, as per PlayStation LifeStyle. Fans of the series are already aware of the vital features and perks that the proprietor, Igor, can do. To begin with, players can fuse Personas together to create even stronger and different ones.

Make Good Use of The Velvet Room

It is worth noting that some personas can only be obtained through fusion alone. There are a few ways to fuse them: basic (two personas) and advanced (three or more personas with an addition prerequisite). There is also the network fusion wherein fans can fuse demons with another player.

Interestingly enough, the personas that will be fused together are first 'executed' via guillotine by the executioners, the twins Caroline and Justine. On the other hand, the protagonist can also strengthen their current personas or transform them into items or equipment. The compendium will also be returning wherein players can buy their previously owned demons. Fans can play Persona 5 on the PS3 and PS4 when it launches on Apr. 4.
