Motorola's Next-Gen Nexus+ Smartphone Pops Up Online (Slideshow)

Google launched its Nexus 4 smartphone in November 2012 in collaboration with LG. The handset is highly regarded in the smartphone space because of its top-end specifications and now rumors have started floating about the next iteration of the handset, which could be in collaboration with Motorola. Concept images of the handset have leaked online.

On May 22, 2012, Google's CEO Larry Page announced that the company closed on its deal to acquire Motorola Mobility, but since then Google has launched its Nexus smartphone in collaboration with LG and the Nexus 7 tablet in collaboration with ASUS.

However, many market observers believe that Google will bring out the next Nexus smartphone in collaboration with Motorola. French website NoWhereElse reveals some concept designs of what could be the next Nexus smartphone.

A designer introduced renderings of the next-generation Nexus called the "Nexus+."

"It's just a concept, imagined and unreal, we should warn you. But it borrows some interesting cues from current high-end handsets that we'd love to see on a Nexus phone. First, the 5-inch 1080p display, but then also a more powerful Snapdragon 800 processor and dual-front stereo speakers. The camera is also suggested to be 13 megapixel one, hopefully more capable than the one on the current Nexus 4. Right below you can see the concept renders of what such a Nexus+ might look like," reports Phone Arena.

A recent report indicates that LG could manufacture the next-generation Nexus but it should not come as a surprise if Motorola makes the next Google smartphone. Previously, Google has joined forces with Samsung and HTC to manufacture Nexus smartphones.

Even though many rumors are surfacing in the tech market regarding the next-gen Nexus smartphone, Google has not announced any details of the handset.
