Little Tikes Has Recalled Toddler Swings

Toddler swings is a way to pacify infants. Just like rocking cribs, the motion can make an infant less agitated. However, toddler swings can be prone to accidents as well. Little Tikes has recalled toddler swings after they were found to likely cause accidents.

Little Tykes have received complaints about the toddler swings as likely accident hazards. 140 reports have been made about the swing breaking. This has caused at least 39 toddlers being injured by it.

A product recall has been made by Little Tikes because of the reports. The US Product Safety Commission has said that the company has made the recall following reports about the swings breaking. The particular product being recalled is the pink 2-in-1 Snug 'n Secure toddler swings.

The swings that have experienced breakage have been bought from stores like Walmart, Toys 'R' Us and others. The product has been sold from November 2009 until May 2014. Each toddler swing sold for about $25.

The toddler swing consists of a small seat suspended by four yellow ropes. The seat has the potential to crack or break, which poses as an accident hazard, according to Q13 Fox. The product has a model number of 615573 which can be found at the back of the seat.

People who have the product have been told to stop using the product, as they can pose a risk for toddlers. There have been injuries already reported due to the seat breaking, as CBS News reports. People who have the product can contact Little Tikes to give the product back and receive a refund. Credits can be given to those who return it and exchange for another Little Tikes product.

Children are most vulnerable to products that might pose as a safety hazard. Often products are tested to ensure safety, though product failure can still happen. Little Tikes has recalled toddler swings after reports of accidents. The Barren Island volcano has recently shown signs of activity.
