The Tesla Model 3 is considered to be the most successful Electric Vehicle in the auto industry and so far, no automaker has proven itself to be a challenge yet. This however, may be about to change as BMW plans to bring its i5, which is expected to give the Tesla Model 3 a run for its money.

BMW i5 vs Tesla Model 3: A Battle In The Making

According to a report, the BMW i5 is nowhere near its release as the model is expected to hit the market by 2021. However, many people are already anticipating for BMW's i5 model to stand as a rival for Tesla's Model 3. There are also a lot of people on the other hand that are expecting for the Tesla Model 3 to go further ahead while the BMW i5 prepares to enter the Electric Vehicle (EV) segment

What To Expect From The BMW i5

According to a report, the BMW i5 is expected to arrive together with the iNext in 2021 along with autonomous technology that the automaker said the market has never seen before. It was mentioned that the BMW i5 will bring a "Level three autonomous technology."  Apparently, this is an improvement of what the 5 and 7 Series are making use of. In addition, the i5 is also expected to become capable of making use of levels four and five in the future.

What About The Tesla Model 3?

Whether the BMW i5 will be able to give the Tesla Model 3 a run for its money remains to be seen. Meanwhile, the Tesla Model 3 continues to dominate the EV segment. Reports stated that Tesla has received hundreds of thousands of orders for its Model 3 and the automaker is faced with the challenge of manufacturing the vehicles fast enough to keep up with its customers' demand as reported. Given this fact, BMW's i5 will have a big gap to fill if it hopes to go up against the Tesla Model 3 in the future.
