American singer-songwriter, John Mayer, recently went on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and he has revealed that he was a huge fan of “The Bachelor”. The said show is a popular dating show in the United States wherein one man, the bachelor, has to get into a pool of romantic potentials and eventually pick one. Mayer said that he always wanted to be in the show and if he would actually join, there had to be one condition.

John Mayer has been very vocal about being a fan of “The Bachelor” and recently, he revealed he would go on the said dating show but they had to change one thing about it. Turns out he actually wanted to change the vetting process for who would be the contestants in the show. He said that unless this was done, he doesn’t think he would ever find love in the show.

He candidly said though that the “The Bachelor” will become one of the lowest rated show if he would star in an upcoming season. He further said that he loved the said show but being for an episode that runs for two hours is too much to ask of him. He candidly suggested that a reduced version of “The Bachelor” for him would be better, which will need only 30 minutes of crying girls on a helicopter.

Mayer admitted that he enjoyed watching “The Bachelor” especially the Hollywood in it on television because somehow he forgets that he used to be in such a bubble. The singer has never been married but he has been in several romantic relationships with famous celebrities such as Jennifer Love Hewitt, Jennifer Aniston, Katy Perry, and Taylor Swift. He admitted on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” that he was currently not in a relationship but he wasn’t exactly single either, indicating that his heart could be taken at the moment.
