Moto G5 Plus To Be US Exclusive; Moto G5 Available Elsewhere

Lenovo and Motorola have showcased their "Moto" handsets at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. The Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus are powered by Android 7.0 Nougat and shipping will begin in March. However, as reported the Moto G5 Plus is going to be exclusive in the United States, while the Moto G5 will be accessible elsewhere.

Moto G5 Plus Highlights Higher End Specs

According to Tech Radar, the handset offers a higher-end spec than its predecessors. The handset comes with a big difference in display. Moto G5 Plus has a 5.2-inch FHD Gorilla Glass 3 display. It measures 150.2 x 74 x 7.9 mm and weighs 155 g. It is powered by a more powerful 2GHz Snapdragon 635 processor.

Moto G5 Plus features an internal storage of 64 GB, which can also be expanded up to 128 GB. It comes with a 12-megapixel f/1.7 camera with dual-focus pixels, which can record 4K video. It also features in 32 GB or 64 GB, which RAM ranges between 2GB and 4GB. G5 Plus gets a sealed with a 3,000mAh battery, as per Android Headlines.

Moto G5 Excellent Specs With A Reasonable Price

On the other hand, Moto G5 comes with a 5-inch Full HD AMOLED display. It is powered by a 1.4GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 processor. Its camera comes with a13-megapixel f/2.0 system with phase detect autofocus. The handset also comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which supports microSD card up to 128GB. The smartphone runs on a 2,800 mAh battery with rapid charging. It measures 144.3 x 73 x 9.5 mm and weighs 145 g.

Availability And Pricing

The Moto G5 and G5 Plus will be released in March. However, as mentioned earlier, the Moto G5 will only be available outside of the U.S., while G5 Plus will be U.S. exclusive. Moto G5 will carry the price tag of $199 while the G5 Plus will be starting slightly higher at $229.
