"The Originals" season 4 will premiere in over a week, and countless updates about the installment's synopsis are surfacing. The synopses of the first few episodes have been leaked and fans can now confirm the talks about Hayley's success in reviving the Mikaelson siblings. Talks about Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder's appearance on the show might, however, be mere speculations as confirmations have not yet been given.
"The Originals" season 2 left off with Hayley facing a big challenge. She has been obliged to save the Mikaelson siblings and according to the synopsis of "The Originals" season 4, the pilot episode titled "Gather Up the Killers," Hayley will find the needed cure to revive the vampires. Elijah will return from the dead and his other siblings will wake up from a curse. All these happens five years after Klaus has been defeated by his former protégé, Marcel.
The second episode of "The Originals," "No Quarter," will then feature the Mikaelsons back to their old selves and will start their rescue operation to free Klaus from being imprisoned by Marcel. Before this, though, fans will see how Marcel is handling thing in New Orleans, and it appears that his bad decisions will take a toll on his reign. New vampires are reportedly coming to challenge Marcel who will be seen coming to Klaus to seek his guidance on how he should defeat his new enemies.
There are speculations that Marcel's new vampire enemies might include "The Vampire Diaries" characters played by Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev. Talks about Dobrev's appearance in the spinoff series resurfaced when she confirmed her return in "The Vampire Diaries" finale. The fact that the original show has already come to its end, fans could not help but wonder if they will see their favorite "TVD" characters again.
However, Julie Plec has already said that doing such crossover might affect the viewership and the story since "TVD" and "The Originals" are still two different stories. Hence, seeing Dobrev and Somerhalder playing as new vampire forces against Marcel might be quite impossible, at least for now.
"The Originals" season 4 will premiere on Friday, March 17, at 8 p.m. on CW.
