Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 Spotted At FCC?

A Samsung device called SM-T310 has appeared in FCC listings that may be the eight-inch Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 tablet.

Although this particular model number has been seen in previous reports, this is the first time it has appeared at the FCC. In late March, SM-T310 was seen at the Bluetooth SIG and was confirmed as a tablet at that time, so its arrival at the FCC is not surprising.

Why, you ask, could this product be the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 tablet? Let's start with the model number. It goes without saying that SM-T310 is quite similar to SM-T210 for the Galaxy Tab 3 7.0. Even more significantly, the documentation shows that the device measures nine inches in diagonal, which is just sufficient to fit an eight inch screen.

Not many specs are mentioned for the SM-T310, but we do know that it is listed as having Wi-Fi (802.11 a/b/g/n), Bluetooth 4.0 support and 16 GB of storage.

Samsung has seen the Galaxy Note 8.0 perform well, however the device has been criticized by many for its price. The Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 could potentially be a more affordable option.

In other reported Tab 3 news, a device called the GT-P5200 recently appeared in AnTuTu benchmark results. The device performed on about the same level as the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One. Some factors pointed it toward being the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3. From what we know so far, the device comes with 1280x800 resolution, 1.6Ghz processor and Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.
