Sony Xperia Z, ZL, And ZR Followed By Xperia UL? Leaked Images Surface

Sony has yet to make a big impression in the mobile world, but it's hoping the new Xperia line-up will be able to boost its fortunes. The Xperia Z started things off with surprisingly positive reviews, and Sony followed up with the Xperia ZL.

Earlier this week, Sony also revealed the Xperia ZR, which took the Xperia Z's waterproof capabilities a step farther by allowing you to record HD video underwater (up to five feet). And now, we're getting hints that another phone, the Xperia UL, is on its way.

According to Android Authority (via UnwiredView), leaked images of the Xperia UL have leaked online, showcasing a new device that, visually, at least, looks very similar to past Xperia phones.

As for the specs, current rumors point to the Xperia UL featuring a Qualcomm Snapdragon 600, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage space. The leaked phone also looks to sport a 5-inch screen and a 2,300 mAh battery. Not much else is known about it just yet; the resolution and operating system are unknown, but it's likely to sport the latest version of Android Jelly Bean.

Of course, just like its Xperia Z and Xperia ZR family members, the Xperia UL is expected to be dustproof and waterproof. Will it offer the same underwater HD video recording as the ZR? At this point, that, among many things, is unclear.

Another thing to wonder is if the Xperia UL, should it turn out to be real, will come out in any territory outside of Japan. Past speculation suggested it would be exclusive to the Japanese carrier KDDI, and still more rumors point to another phone, the Sony i1, packing a Snapdragon 800 and releasing internationally.

Obviously, these are all rumors. We'll be sure to update you if anything concrete surfaces.
