Pokemon GO Water Event Officially Ends; April Fools Day And Easter Event Arriving Next?

The latest Pokémon GO game event has officially ended, and players would no longer experience its benefits. The Water Event was announced by Niantic in early March and scheduled to end last March 29 at 9 PM BST. It brings a massive increase in spawn rate of several Water-type Pokémon such as Magikarp, Squirtle, Totodile and more. Notably, one of the biggest addition to the event is the Shiny Magikarp which is the first one to arrive amongst other Shiny variants.

Otakukart noted that there is no other Shiny Pokémon that can be found in the wild yet except Magikarp and its evolution, the Red Gyrados. Meanwhile, fans expect that more Shiny Pokémon will be added in the game soon. Luckily, for fans who still want to catch this adorable Golden Magikarp, Niantic said that it is still available in the wild even if the event has ended.

Collecting these rare type of Pokémon in the game would come with a high price in the future. It has been known that Pokémon GO will receive three major updates throughout 2017 and the most anticipated Trading feature might be included. As a result, players that have been collecting these rare Pokémon species today might earn some cash from other players soon.

On the other hand, now that the Water Event has ended, fans are looking forward to Niantic's announcement of the next Pokémon GO event. There are tons of real life events that could be implemented in the game such as April fool's Day and Easter. These events would probably offer new exciting bonuses about the event. For instance, Easter Event might have something to do with Eggs while Niantic could perhaps use Ditto's transformation ability as a gimmick in this upcoming April fool's day.

Players are highly suggested to wait for Niantic's official word on the details mentioned above are just merely rumors and suggestions.
