'13 Reasons Why' Season 2?

According to E! News, "13 Reasons Why" has ended with Clay's character finally being able to listen to all of Hannah Baker's recorded tapes regarding her 13 reasons why she ended her life. Apparently, it's not just 13 reasons after all, but adding up a 14th tape which was from Bryce's character played by Justin Prentice, admitting that he raped Hannah. Fast forward to the turn of events, it appears that there is no continuation passed Hannah's story in Jay Asher's original book.

That said, in one of his statements reported by Mirror Online, Asher said that he'd like to see a continuation of all those characters and how the story would run. As per Asher, he was allegedly left curious of what happened next to Clay, how did the people react to what Alex did and as to what will happen next to Mr. Porter. At some point, the author reveals that he has thought of doing a sequel, but has eventually decided not doing it, thus, making him eager to see how the story will continue.

Meanwhile, Asher has highly emphasized that he's not claiming that there will be a second season for the show, however, he reveals that there are directions to take it. Ultimately, given that things were left in the open, Asher said that there's obviously ways to go with a second season for "13 Reasons Why."
