Nokia Lumia 920 gets price slash in India, now just Rs.31,999

Nokia fans in India will be pleased to learn that the Finnish smartphone maker has reduced the price of its Windows Phone 8-powered Lumia 920. Online retailers are now offering the smartphone for Rs.31,999 along with a free wireless charging plate.

According to Times Of India, "Nokia has slashed the price of its Lumia 920 flagship smartphone in India, barely a week after it introduced the Lumia 925 globally."

The Lumia 920 was launched in India in January this year sporting a price tag of Rs. 38,199.  Now Nokia has slashed the price of the smartphone to Rs. 32,639 on its online store. Moreover, Nokia is also offering the DT900 wireless charging plate worth Rs. 3000 for free with the Lumia 920.

Online retailer Flipkart is offering the Lumia 920 bundled with the wireless charging plate. for a cheaper price - Rs.31,999 (inclusive of taxes). Flipkart is also offering zero processing fee on EMIs, which is valid till May 31. The popular retailer has the Lumia 920 up for grabs in three colors: yellow, white and red.

The NFC-enabled Lumia 920 features a 4.5-inch touchscreen display, a 1.5GHz dual-core processor inside, 1GB of RAM and 32GB of on-board memory. The smartphone also touts a 8.7-megapixel primary camera with Carl Zeiss optics.

Interestingly, the price cut for the Lumia 920 comes barely a week after Nokia announced its latest Lumia 925, which will likely be priced around Rs.34,000 (before tax). Recently, the Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Grand Duos from Samsung have also received a price cut, perhaps a result of newer smartphones like Galaxy S4 and HTC One hitting the shelves.
