HTC to release M4 and Butterfly S very soon, HTC One will get red and blue hues

HTC is poised to unleash two new smartphones and additional colors for its flagship HTC One very soon. HTC allegedly has the Butterfly S and the much-rumored HTC M4 (aka HTC One Mini) smartphones in the works and will reportedly release them in June and July, respectively.

The latest information comes courtesy of reliable sources, who per TheDroidGuy reveal "that the move by HTC to schedule the releases of its new models and variants this coming quarter is a response to Samsung's announcement of new devices."

According to TheDroidGuy, "the Taiwanese company is planning to launch a series of smartphones from June up to July this year. The devices slated for release are the HTC Butterfly S, the HTC M4 and a series of HTC One units with different colors."

HTC Butterfly S

The HTC Butterfly S is purportedly the upgraded version of the HTC Butterfly. The smartphone is slated to release in mid or late June and should not be confused with the rumored HTC Butterfly 2. While the HTC Butterfly S will sport the same 5-inch screen as that of its predecessor, it will benefit from some improvements like an UltraPixel camera like the flagship HTC One. The smartphone will also have a larger battery and a microSD card slot. The next-gen Butterfly S will also retail in gray.

HTC M4 or HTC One Mini

HTC is also speculated to release the sibling of the HTC One, dubbed the HTC M4. This smartphone will apparently release in mid-July and have the same design sensibilities of the HTC One. However, the HTC M4 will have downgraded specs when compared to its bigger sibling.

Sources disclosed that HTC M4 will tout a 4.3-inch HD display. It will also have an Ultrapixel Camera, 1700mAH battery, stereo speakers, 2GB of RAM and a dual-core processor. The Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini rival will also feature Android 4.2 Jelly Bean out of the box and Sense 5.

New colors for HTC One

While HTC will supposedly unveil two new smartphones, the company has not forgotten about its flagship HTC One. The smartphone is also set to get a new lease of life as it will don two new hues: red and blue. The new colors will be available in China by July (the blue version has already been introduced in Taiwan), but it is not known when they will be released in the U.S. if at all.
