Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 Will Reportedly Feature Snapdragon 836 SoC And Android 8.0 Oreo
While Xiaomi has officially confirmed the release date for the Mi Mix 2, nothing else is currently confirmed about the smartphone. Of course, there have been multiple rumors and leaks so far, revealing specs of the device. However, the latest leak shows that it will house Snapdragon 836 SoC and Android Oreo.
The leaked specifications of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 smartphone, shared by a Weibo user, claims that the device will boast Snapdragon 836 SoC. It's worth pointing out that the Snapdragon 836 has still not been launched by Qualcomm. Apart from the processor, the leak also hints that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will run the latest Android 8.0 Oreo out-of-the box, as reported by GSM Arena.
According to the leaked information, the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will be running on the Android 8 Oreo, with MIUI 9 on top, it will be having a 6.2-inch bezel less display with a resolution of 2960 x 1440 pixels. The smartphone will be powered by a 4,400mAh battery and will boast 256GB of storage. The screenshot also reveals that the Mi Mix 2 will come with the 20MP rear camera, possibly on its main sensor because the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to pack a feature camera setup at its rear, as reported by Gizchina.
To recall, previous leaks claimed that Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 might pack Snapdragon 835 SoC, pack a 6.4-inch display, and come with a 19-megapixel rear camera and a 13-megapixel sensor at front. The smartphone was earlier hinted to house a 4500mAh battery. Previous leaks claimed that upcoming Xiaomi smartphone will be offered in three variants, i.e. 4GB RAM with 128GB storage, 6GB RAM with 128GB storage, and 8GB RAM with 256GB storage.
The September 11 launch date of the Mi Mix 2 will be eagerly awaited. The smartphone will launch in an event in Beijing's University of Technology Gymnasium.
