AT&T Nokia Lumia 920 price reduced: Nokia EOS coming soon?

Rumors and pictures of the upcoming Nokia EOS have become very frequent in the recent days. The handset is expected to head to AT&T and it seems that retailers are preparing for the launch of the upcoming EOS as the price of Lumia 920 has reduced at Walmart.

In the U.S., the Nokia Lumia 920 is exclusive to AT&T and rumors suggest that the upcoming Nokia EOS will also be available only on AT&T.

Walmart is now offering the Nokia Lumia 920 for $39.99 on a two-year contract. The anticipation of the rumored Nokia EOS seems to have triggered the price drop of the handset. However, if you wish to take the handset directly from AT&T then you will have to part with $99.99 on a two-year contract.

Nokia has released the Lumia 925 on T-Mobile and the Lumia 928 on Verizon. Now all eyes are on Nokia EOS and AT&T customers will be happy to see another top-end Windows Phone 8 (WP8)-powered smartphone in the carrier's handset portfolio. The launch of Nokia EOS will definitely affect the demand for its predecessor, the Lumia 920.

The Lumia 920 was one of the first top-end WP8 smartphones to launch in Nov. 2012 and since then the handset has slowly but steadily, received quite a lot of popularity in the smartphone space.

The Nokia Lumia 928 and the Lumia 925 are supposed to be a minor update to the Lumia 920 but the EOS is supposed to bring a massive 41-megapixel rear-facing camera with Xenon flash to give better picture quality even in low light conditions.

Recently, some images of the Nokia EOS leaked online which shows that the handset is very similar in design when compared to the Nokia Lumia 920. However, the EOS has a bump at the back to support the 41-megapixel camera.

Neither Nokia nor AT&T have announced their plans to launch the Nokia EOS. But with leaked images and recent price drop of the Nokia Lumia 920, it seems that the Nokia EOS should make its appearance soon.
