MWE Lab Emperor Workstations make you feel you're a Star Wars hero (for a price!)

Great power comes with great responsibility. The Emperor 1510 or the Emperor 200, however, comes with a hefty tag price. We're not surprised, though, as these are not chairs but workstations from MWE Lab that will make you think you're in a Star Wars pod.

Both workstations from the Quebec-based manufacturer can be used as desktop, as a financial monitoring pod, a gaming setup, a command and control center, for simulation and for pretty much anything imaginable. Aside from their functionality, if you buy the Emperor 1510 or the Emperor 200, you won't be blamed for reprising the role of Luke Skywalker in an X-Wing starfighter as he takes down the Death Star.

However, before you let your imagination run wild, you have to settle the bill for these sci-fi inspired workstations - the Emperor 1510 has a tag price of $5,950, while the Emperor 200 goes for a whopping $49,150. A mid-tier Emperor 1510 LX is priced at $21,500.

The Emperor 200 was created back in 2007 and later on showcased at the International CES in Las Vegas in 2009.

"Hand built to your requirements, the Emperor 200 is the ultimate computer workstation with several exclusive features such as touch screen control center, air filtering system, light therapy, electric powered leather seat, up to 3 x 27" LED screens and a breathtaking sound! Be bold and unique!" described MWE Lab.

The frame of the Emperor 200 is made from aluminum and PVC. Buyers can opt for either a Windows- or Mac-based computer to come with the work station.

The Emperor 1510 is a toned down version of the Emperor 200. It can be called the Camaro while its more expensive sibling can be dubbed the Roll-Royce Ghost of office chairs. 1510 does not have the touch screen control panel and drops the leather seats for a microfiber wrapped throne.

The Emperor 1510 LX is the latest release of the MWE Lab. It offers a good blend of the features of the Emperor 200 and the Emperor 1510. It features the amenities of the 200 and the architecture of the 1510. The structure can hold up to five monitors and come with a cupholder, which even the Emperor 200 does not have.

The MWE Lab has reportedly sold over 200 of these workstations since 2010. Some high profile buyers include the prince of Dubai and technology companies based in Silicon Valley.

These workstations are said to increase productivity and efficiency. While that will be nice for any company, these dream office setup may also lead to one's bankruptcy.
