Verizon Nokia Lumia 928 now available for only $29.99 on Amazon

It's just been around a month that Nokia launched the Lumia 928 on Verizon and now the price of the handset has reduced to just $29.99 on a two-year contract.

Amazon has reduced the price of the Verizon Nokia Lumia 928 to just $29.99 on a two-year contract. However, if you take the handset directly from Verizon you'll end up paying $20 more as the carrier has priced the handset for $49.99.

The Nokia Lumia 928 is a minor upgrade to the AT&T exclusive Nokia Lumia 920. However, with a price tag of just $39.99, Amazon is selling the Lumia 920 at a higher price than the recently-launched Lumia 928.

Windows Phone 8 (WP8) smartphones have been gaining popularity in the recent months and Nokia has been aggressively releasing WP8-smartphones. Currently, the Finnish company has the widest range of WP8 smartphones available in the market.

The Lumia 920 has been one of the most popular WP8 smartphones since its launch but because of its exclusivity to AT&T, not many smartphone enthusiasts got a chance to use the handset running Microsoft's latest mobile operating system.

The high popularity of Nokia 920 may have prompted other carriers like T-Mobile and Verizon to get their own WP8 flagship device in the form on Lumia 925 and Lumia 928.

The Nokia 928 packs in impressive features required to entice potential smartphone buyers. Additionally, WP8 may attract smartphone customers looking for an alternative to iOS, Android and BlackBerry 10. With the presence of other top-end smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and iPhone 5, Nokia Lumia 928 may find it difficult to attract more customers. However, the Amazon deal for Lumia 928 is currently the cheapest available in the market.
