Nokia Lumia 928 for just 99 cents on Amazon

If you've been waiting to grab the Verizon exclusive Nokia Lumia 928, now's a good time to do so as the WP8-powered smartphone is available for under a dollar - Amazon is offering the Lumia 928 for just 99 cents.

The Nokia Lumia 928 is a slight upgrade to the AT&T-exclusive Lumia 920 and touts an improved camera. The Lumia 928 boasts Xenon flash, which is more powerful and a better solution than the LED flash found on the Lumia 920.

The Nokia Lumia 928 has been around for barely over a month and the smartphone has seen price drops in this short period. Earlier in June, we reported that Amazon was offering the Lumia 928 for just $29.99.

With the Lumia 928 available for just 99 cents on a two-year contract from Verizon, it doesn't get any better than this. Normally, the smartphone retails for $49.99 on a two-year contract. However, Verizon initially launched the handset for $99.99 on contract.

To take advantage of the current Amazon deal for the Lumia 928, one simply needs to sign a two-year contract with the carrier and grab the phone for under a buck. What makes this deal even sweeter is that unlike most offers, you don't have to be a new Verizon customer to avail the offer as it is valid for existing customers as well.

At this juncture it is not known if this is a limited-period offer and if so, when it expires. Amazon is also offering free two-day shipping and currently has the Lumia 928 in stock. Alternately, those who want to purchase the Lumia 928 outright, off contract, will have to shell out $499 for the Nokia smartphone.
