Samsung Galaxy S22 Preorder Deals: Is the Specs, Features, and Price Better than S21?

The highly anticipated Samsung Galaxy S22 series is finally revealed in Samsung Unpacked 2022. Now the company is opening up preorders with budget-friendly discount offers.

Samsung is adding three new models to its S Series, which are the Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. The line-up promises all the premium features that Samsung can offer up to date.

Samsung Galaxy S22 versus S21: Specs, Features, and Price

Sources from ZDNet analyzed the S22 base model and compared it to its predecessor, S21. The results show that most of the changes reflect on the phone's exterior design, and its software is somewhat on par with the older unit.

Galaxy S22 and S21 share the same specs for memory (8GB), storage (128GB or 256GB), front camera (5MP), Connectivity (5G, LTE, Wi-Fi 6, and Bluetooth), and price, which starts at $799.99.

On the flip side, Galaxy S22 gets an edge on its operating system (One UI 4.1), display (Vision Booster), and processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1). Note that S21 is still superior in terms of battery with its 4,000mAh when compared to S22's 3,700mAh.

Be warned that the smartphone color options are vastly different. Last year, Galaxy S21 offered phantom violet, phantom gray, phantom white, and phantom pink. This year, S22 is available with phantom black, phantom white, pink gold, and green.

Overall, S22 only received a slight upgrade when compared to S21. Most of its upgrades and new features are actually invested in its high-end model, the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

It should be emphasized that Galaxy S22 Ultra is the first S-series with a built-in pen, designed after Samsung's Galaxy Note lineup. This means a lot of fans are looking forward to this unique smartphone.

BGR said that preorders are now available for Galaxy S22, Galaxy S22 Plus, and Galaxy S22 Ultra. To appeal many of its customers, Samsung is also offering excellent deals for early buyers. Be warned that offers will only be available until February 25.

First, it is worth emphasizing that Samsung upgraded the S22's external design. All three of its smartphones will feature glass designs on their display and back. Samsung also guarantees Android updates up to four years, which implies better longevity than previous units.

Note that Samsung is offering free storage upgrade for Galaxy S22 preorders. This means a buyer who preorders an S22 with 128GB storage can opt to upgrade to 256GB without added costs! All three S22 models can enjoy this benefit.

Samsung pre-orders also come with free app services. Customers can enjoy four months of free YouTube, three months of Spotify Premium, and six months of Sirius XM streaming.

Lastly, customers who are interested in buying both the Samsung S22 and Tab S8 can get a 25 percent discount! Note, however, that the 25 discount will only be applied to the Galaxy Tab S8 costs and not the S22.
