The NFT Scene's Most Popular Artist Beeple Collaborates with Madonna ‘Mother of Creation’ NFT Collection

The NFT collection "Mother of Creation" made by Madonna and Beeple is garnering a lot of controversial attention. NFTs are getting more and more creators and well-known artists diving deep into the industry.

After working on the NFT collection for a year, both Madonna and Beeple are now auctioning it today until Friday for a greater cause.

NFT Art by Madonna and Beeple

Madonna has collaborated with Beeple in creating her collection called "Mother of Creation," which was released on Monday, May 10. Madonna's NFT collection features three digitally rendered videos in which she is recast as a nude woman giving birth to flora, fauna, and technological advancement.

The NFT collection of Mother of Creation, might contain nudity of a woman's body and might be seen as provocative, but Madonna stated that is beside the point of their digital art.

According to The New York Times, the pop star stated that the butterflies and centipedes she gives birth to in the video have symbolic significance. The evolution seen in their NFT art is an embodiment of hope and technology.

Mike Winkelmann, popularly known as Beeple in the NFT community, said that he is honored to collaborate with Madonna and that working with her is absolutely incredible. The NFT community knows that Beeple rarely collaborates with other artists when it comes to art. He then added that this would probably be his last collaboration in a long time.

SuperRare.com will be the marketplace for Madonna and Beeple's NFT, the auction will be from May 11 to May 13.

Madonna's 'Mother of Creation' NFT

The artists behind the NFT collection "Mother of Creation" have both said that it is a labor of love after closely collaborating for almost a year.

The pop artist's avatar takes the concept of "Mother Nature" to a whole new level, as her likeness can be seen giving birth to a rapidly-growing tree in one of the videos. The NFT collection has three installments. First, the second one will be "Mother of Nature," "Mother of Evolution" and "Mother of Technology,"

The first NFT art in the series is called "Mother of Nature." It is set in a cold laboratory where there are no signs of life until an opening lets a branch grow into a full-fledged tree. It goes against the laws of gravity to get flowers to grow. Even though the tree may bend or even break, it keeps growing and making more trees.

The second art is the "Mother of Evolution," wherein the journey of butterflies from caterpillar to butterfly is shown. Butterflies are one of nature's most beautiful creatures and a symbol of rebirth and renewal. The lyrics to Madonna's famous song "Justify My Love" are used in the piece, which also has music written by Igor Bardykin.

Lastly, the final piece of the NFT collection is the "Mother of Technology." which is set in a beautiful forest and depicts the way science can also bring light into the world, but only if it is done so with the appropriate level of consciousness. The centipede represents technology - both as a life-giving force and as a potential source of danger, as well as the contrast between darkness and light.

One of the messages depicted in the NFT art embodies the changes in technology as it is constantly evolving in the physical, and natural. Nature will ultimately triumph in the end, as we all know.

According to MSN, everything that will be sold in this auction will go to three charities: the Voices of Children Foundation, which assists women and children affected by the war in Ukraine; the City of Joy Foundation, which advocates for the rights of victims of violence in the Democratic Republic of Congo; and Black Mama's Bail Out, which provides bail for caregivers who are incarcerated. In addition, Moonpay, a cryptocurrency platform that assisted with the project, will make a $100,000 donation to each of the charities.
