Specifically, it seems that people cannot stop talking about Christian Bale, who joins the cast of the Marvel film as Gorr the God Butcher.

We are talking about none other than Christian Bale, who joins the Marvel movie to play the role of the menacing character.
According to an article by IGN, Gorr the God Butcher is basically an alien who targets gods only to kill after having his family taken from him. "Because his prayers for salvation went unanswered, Gorr decided that all gods are unworthy of the love and devotion they receive from their worshipers," the article explains.
He has made it his mission to rid the universe of its many gods, which includes Thor.

'Thor: Love and Thunder'
"Thor: Love and Thunder" is one of Marvel's movies scheduled for release this year, specifically on July 8. Joining Christian Bale in the cast are Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman, who are set to reprise their roles as Thor and Jane Foster, respectively.
Fans of Jane Foster, in particular, are in for a treat as they will get to see her become Mighty Thor in this movie. Other cast members include Tessa Thompson, Jaimie Alexander, Taika Waititi, and Russell Crowe.
