Verizon 5G Start Unlimited Plan to Get Upgraded Mobile Hotspot Data — Will There be Extra Costs?

Beginning on June 16, Verizon is offering a useful upgrade to subscribers of its lower cost 5G start unlimited plan. The plan will now bring to users a chance to share their 5G premium mobile hotspot data without an extra cost.

Accordingly, users that subscribe to the 5G unlimited plans from Verizon will be getting an add-on from the network, and it will not incur any additional cost.

The current plan does not offer any hotspot data, and it's the only Verizon unlimited plan that does not have it.

According to Verizon spokesperson Ashley Colette, the 5G subscribers do not need to make any changes to their end to use the data as it will be added automatically.

Verizon Adds Mobile Hotspot Data

For mobile hotspot data on all unlimited plans, Verizon will soon add an allocation. The allocation will be available even to those with the basic entry-level deals from the network.

The Verge reported that despite the massive access to data on the device in the Verizon's unlimited plans, there is a limit when it comes to sharing it with other users. But as reported, it is bound to change in the coming weeks.

According to Tech Times, at present, "the lowest plan available from the 5G unlimited "Ultra" that costs $35 per month, does not have any additional data for its mobile hotspot."

The "5G Play More" plan gives subscribers more options to share their data with others. It allocates 25 GB on its $45 program.

Verizon's update would "give the 5G Basic with 5 GB allocation," as per Tech Times. It is bound to expand further on other deals.

Subscribers may look at the current unlimited plans under Verizon's Ultra. For its connection, the plan already utilizes 5G.

Verizon Offers the Best Plans for June 2022

Although a bit pricey, Verizon is considered to offer the best nationwide coverage on its service, according to TechRadar. The network offer some rather good perks.

At $80 per month, "Verizon's Play More Unlimited" is considered to be consumer-focused postpaid plan. Sitting right in the middle cost-wise,  it includes full unlimited 5G access, priority premium network access, and a full subscription to selected streaming service.

Meanwhile, for $70 per month, "Verizon Unlimited" is considered as the basic postpaid plan. It offers a straight-up lower monthly price foregoing all those free streaming service goodies.

"Verizon Do More Unlimited" is considered as a productivity-focused plan. Despite the fact that you'll eventually lose unlimited access to all those streaming services, you'll gain 600GB of Verizon cloud storage and 50% off connected device plans.

Additionally, "Verizon Get More Unlimited" is considered as the ultimate Verizon unlimited plan for it has every single feature Verizon can offer.

When it comes to shared data plans, Verizon offers 5GB allowance plan for $55 a month, and 10GB for $60 a month.

The price is quite low for the 5GB plan, but it might not go a long way. This plan does not offer any streaming service or cloud storage perks.

The 10GB option includes full 5G access on the Verizon premium network, but like the 5GB it does not offer streaming service or cloud storage perks.
