Asus ROG 6, 6 Pro

The Taiwan-based tech giant Asus released the specs details of the ROG Phone 6 and its top-of-the-line ROG Phone 6 Pro. And a glance at them shows that these all-new Android smartphones are not meant for some light usage or gaming.

After all, the two new Asus devices are gaming-focused smartphones. Thus it gets the Republic of Gamers (ROG) branding.

The Taiwanese firm has been offering gaming phones under its ROG lineup. In fact, the Phone 6 and Phone 6 Pro are their fifth generation. Asus missed out on the "4" naming due to the stigma against it in the Asian country.

Asus ROG 6, 6 Pro Full Specs

As per a news story by CNET, the newly-debuted ROG Phone 6 models sports the all-new flagship chipset of Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1.

The standard Phone 6 starts with 256GB of internal storage and 8GB of RAM but goes as high as 12GB of RAM.

Meanwhile, the Pro variant pairs the Snapdragon processor with up to 512GB of internal storage and a whopping 18GB of RAM. Unfortunately, Asus ditches the SD card slot, making memory expansion impossible.

According to a recent report by Slash Gear, the Phone 6 RAM Pro is interestingly larger than what gaming consoles offer these days, specifically the Xbox Series X. The most expensive ROG phone appears to be pretty serious about stepping up the mobile gaming experience.
