Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge attained monumental success just a week after its release, as per NintendoLife.

The game was released last month across multiple platforms. Since then, it has gained widely positive reviews.

The studio behind the retro-inspired arcade shared the impressive record that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge sold one million copies in just its first week, said Kotaku.

Tribute Games Shares the Impressive News Via Twitter

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge was developed by Tribute Games and published by DotEmu. The game dropped on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, and PC on June 16, and apparently, by June 23, a million copies of it were already sold. "We are humbled to have so many people sharing our love of the Turtles. One million copies sold in its first week," tweeted Tribute Games.

Tribute Games expressed its gratitude to everyone around the globe and in "Dimension X!." DotEmu also posted the game's achievement in a tweet and thanked fans for their support. The publisher also thanked Nickelodeon and developer Tribute Games for making the game happen.

According to Tribute Games' co-founder Jean-Francois Major, Tribute Games is set out to make the ultimate celebration of a chapter in TMNT history.

Likewise, he thanked the passionate TMNT community for all of the support and encouragement.

Moreover, he stated that Tribute Games looks forward to watching players continue to discover the easter eggs that they've hidden throughout the game while "chaining together some bodacious combos."

The Turtles Face Krang and Super Shredder in TMNT: Shredder's Revenge

Another interesting fact is Shredder's Revenge was released on day one on Xbox's Game Pass. This makes a million copies sold stat even more impressive.

Now, a few weeks past the initial release date, it's highly possible that more than one million copies of the newest TMNT game were sold.

The story of the game revolves around Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Donatello, along with April O'Neil and Master Splinter. They are watching the news on TV but Bebop interrupts it and announces the Foot has returned and is taking over the Statue of Liberty.

On a mission to save the world, the heroes go to the Channel 6 building and find Bebop with the head of Krang's android body. While pursuing Krang, the team comes into conflict with Foot operatives and other adversaries.

Their chase leads them to Dimension X, where they first fight their way through a now destroyed Technodrome. This continues until they eventually reach their enemy's new lair in Dimension X and eventually face Shredder and Krang in his new body.

However, Shredder and Krang were only a decoy to get them away from New York. Krang was turning the Statue of Liberty into the Statue of Tyranny. The Turtles come back to New York and defeat Krang and Super Shredder.

Once the battle ends, the heroes come back to their lair and watch the news as the city is being restored. However, they get disappointed when they find out that the credit goes to the Punk Frogs.

The Turtles, along with April, Splinter, and Casey Jones, celebrate their victory with pizza that night.
