‘Spiderman’ Trilogy is Coming to Netflix – When Will Peter Parker Join the Streaming Platform?

Peter Parker will join Netflix soon.

Beginning August 1, Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man" trilogy will be available for streaming on Netflix, as per The Verge.

In a tweet, Netflix used an image of Kirsten Dunst's Mary-Jane Watson and Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker from 2002's "Spider-Man" to announce that the trilogy will hit the streaming platform beginning next month.

Sam Raimi's 'Spiderman' Trilogy Will be Available on Netflix for Streaming

Sam Raimi's "Spider-Man," "Spider-Man 2," and "Spider-Man 3" will join the swinging adventures of the "The Amazing Spider-Man" on the US version of Netflix, according to The Direct.

You will actually find the original "Spider-Man" trilogy streaming in various international streaming services. However, the American fans of the Marvel films were seemingly not getting enough of Tobey Maguire.

Well, hopefully, the inclusion of "Spider-Man" trilogy in Netflix's movies will address this issue as fans will once again have the chance to take a journey with Tobey Maguire's Peter Parker from movies one to three.

This is just the beginning of the partnership between US Netflix library and Sony Pictures. We will see in the near future if the streaming platform will be able to include "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" and Tom Holland's three Marvel Cinematic Universe solo "Spider-Man" films in their library.

If Netflix would be able to complete the "Spider-Man" collection in its library, it could serve as an epic move of the streaming platform on its superhero front. It's going to be a pretty big deal for Netflix to be called the official streaming home of "Spider-Man" films.

For now, fans will be able to relive all of the glorious moments of the original "Spider-Man" trilogy.

Tobey Maguire's Journey as 'Spider-Man"

Tobey Maguire portrays Peter Parker, an orphaned high schooler who pines after Mary Jane Watson.

He is bitten by a genetically-engineered "super spider" while on a science class field trip at Columbia University. With this, Peter gains superhuman abilities.

Peter eventually realized that he must use his newfound abilities to protect New York City when his beloved Uncle Ben is murdered.

Meanwhile, wealthy industrialist Norman Osborn, the father of Peter's best friend Harry Osborn, put himself through an experimental performance-enhancing serum. This creates a psychotic and murderous split personality.

Eventually, Norman becomes Green Goblin, a villain who terrorizes the city. Peter, as Spider-Man, battles with the Goblin.

"Spider-Man 2" was set two years after the events of the first film. In the second film, Peter finds it difficult to balance his superhero and private lives.

Spider-Man eventually faces scientist Otto Octavius or Doctor Octopus, who wants to destroy New York City.

The third film is set a year after the events of the second film. Peter is finally with Mary Jane Watson, while Harry Osborn becomes the new Green Goblin.

Flint Marko, an escaped convict, falls into a particle accelerator and becomes a shape-shifting sand monster known as Sandman. Eventually, Peter found out that Marko killed Uncle Ben. This caused Peter's own dark intentions to grow.

Peter's vendetta is enhanced by the appearance of the mysterious black alien symbiotic substance that bonds to Peter. Peter eventually separates himself from the alien.

The alien finds a new host in the form of Brock, which resulted in the creation of Venom. In the end, Peter has to battle the villains.
