OnePlus to Hold an In-person Event in NYC for Launch of 10T 5G – When Exactly?

Since the pandemic started, tech companies have avoided conducting live launch events.

Now, after two years, OnePlus finally decided to have an in-person event to launch its 10T 5G, the company's newest flagship. The smartphone will have its debut on August 3 at 10 AM ET in New York City.

OnePlus Teases Specs of 10T 5G

Early this year, the OnePlus 10 Pro was launched, and immediately after, the company announced that it will release another flagship phone in 2022, as per Engadget.

OnePlus 10T 5G will have Qualcomm's latest and greatest chipset, the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 Mobile Platform.

The smartphone is a faster and longer-lasting Android flagship. This is all thanks to a 10 percent improvement in processing speed and a 30 percent reduction in power. Xiaomi's Redmi K50 phone will reportedly have a similar chipset.

Expect the OnePlus 10T 5G to have OxygenOS 13, which is OnePlus's take on Android 13. The OS is expected to come along with the latest Android features.

OnePlus' latest flagship will introduce improved UI personalization, design consistency, and more.

Since the 10T 5G will be launched worldwide, you should be able to purchase it both in the US and Europe.

The tech company did not give further specs or details, but the phone is known to have a textured back based on the teaser image. During the launch, OnePlus will probably reveal more about the cameras, display, and hardware.

OnePlus Launched 10 Pro in April, Released Android 13 Beta Builds

In April, OnePlus launched the 10 Pro at CES. Usually, the company follows up standard releases with a T model with improvement in certain performance areas, as per ZDNet.

We will see upgrades in some technologies in the upcoming OnePlus 10T 5G. We will also see the differences between the 10 Pro and the 10T 5G, which might change your mind regarding which smartphone to get.

For comparison, the OnePlus 10 Pro currently uses OxygenOS 12.1, which is based on Android 12. On the other hand, OnePlus 10T 5G will reportedly run on OxygenOS 13.

In May, OnePlus 10 Pro received the first beta builds of Android 13. This gave users the chance to try out the updated software prior to the stable rollout.

After a month, the tech company gave rolled out the second Android 13 beta build, which brought several bug fixes and optimizations.

Now, OnePlus is releasing the Android 13 Beta 3 to 10 pro, and this is expected to bring some stability improvements.

XDA Developers reported that OnePlus Community forums talked about how Android 13 Beta 3 fixes some of the most common issues and stability improvements.

Meanwhile, as OnePlus introduces its latest flagship, you can get your ticket to the launch event for $25. However, ZDNet reported that it quickly sold out this morning.

Those who will attend the launch event will get swag that has the OnePlus Nord Buds. The launch event can be viewed on the launch page or the OnePlus YouTube channel.
