Microsoft's New Windows 11 KB5015882 Update

As per a new story by MS Power User, the renowned Redmond-based tech giant has started rolling out the Windows 11 KB5015882 Preview update to the Insiders in its Release Preview Channel.

The latest Windows 11 Preview cumulative update comes with a total of 20 improvements, including bug fixes and the all-new Focus Assist.

But despite that, the online news outlet notes that the new Windows 11 KB5015882 update fails to include any new exciting features.

So expect the latest Preview update to be highly focused on improving the existing functionalities of the next-generation OS.

It is worth noting that one of the most significant fixes ditched the freezing issues on the File Explorer of Windows 11.

According to a recent report by Bleeping Computer, the latest Windows 11 cumulative update is under the July 2022 "C" update, which Microsoft pushes to its users every month.

It gives Windows 11, and even folks running Windows 10, a chance to test out the fixes and refinements before it officially sees the light of day in the August 2022 Patch Tuesday release.

Bleeping Computer also notes in its report that cumulative updates, such as the new KB5015882 Preview, exclusively bring solutions to existing bugs and refinements in the overall experience.

And as such, it leaves out security fixes, which Patch Tuesday updates have.

The new update gives users the ability to get notifications that are urgent while the Focus Assist feature is turned on.

Besides the refinements in the Focus Assist, the new Windows 11 also allows users to update their devices upon startup. Well, only if their PC is eligible to do so.

As for the bug fixes, it resolves the issues that freeze the File Explorer while pressing the play and pause buttons or when an external monitor is connected.

However, it is important to point out that the new Preview update might crash some Widgets on some devices. It might end up freezing the weather widget instead of showing real-time updates.
