Another Marvel superhero is set to debut in Disney+.
Charlie Cox and Vincent D'Onofrio are set to reprise their roles as Daredevil and Kingpin in the upcoming Disney+ Marvel series "Daredevil: Born Again."
Disney recently confirmed that its working on a new 18-episode live action TV show that is set to premiere in 2024, as per Engadget.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige made the announcement of Daredevil's come back on Saturday at Comic-Con's Hall H.
Feige also mentioned that arriving in 2023 are "Secret Invasion," season 2 of "Loki," "Ironheart" and "Agatha: Agent of Chaos."
Fans are Excited to See 'Daredevil' Again Few Years After Netflix Cancelled the Show
Die-hard fans have been looking forward to watch "Daredevil: Born Again" since Netflix's "Daredevil" was canceled in 2018 after three seasons.
The rumors about a Daredevil series' come back started when Daredevil appeared in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and main antagonist Kingpin was spotted in Disney+ series Hawkeye, according to Deadline.
This past spring, Marvel Netflix series including "Daredevil" moved to Disney+ after the rights were returned to Disney. This boosted the possibility about the potential new installment of the series.
In May, it was announced that a new "Daredevil" series was in development at Disney+ with "Covert Affairs" creators Matt Corman and Chris Ord set to write and executive produce.
"Daredevil" is known by the name of Matt Murdock, a blind attorney by day. By night, he is a crime fighter.
Murdock specializes in legal defense alongside his colleagues Foggy Nelson and Karen Page. But at night, he pursues a personal crusade to inflict his own brand of justice, while also helping other superpowered individuals in New York City.
He is masquerading as a masked vigilante, "Daredevil," hoping to remove the corruption facing Hell's Kitchen following the Battle of New York.
His activities eventually led him into conflict with enemies such as businessman Wilson Fisk or Kingpin. He also got in conflict with Hand organization in the process, which he combatted alongside the Defenders.
Cox Said He Backs Whatever Marvel Plans to Do With 'Daredevil'
According to Comicbook, they asked Cox if "Daredevil" would possibly work as a "lighter" PG-13 production.
"I wouldn't put it past the folks at Marvel to be able to accomplish that. I'm such a fan of everything they've done so far, I wouldn't underestimate them at all," Cox said.
He said that if Marvel wanted to make a more PG version of Daredevil, he backs them to find a way to do it.
He further added: "And maybe there's a little less blood, maybe there's a little whatever, but I back them to do it."
In addition to "Daredevil: Born Again" Cox will also reprise the role as part of the cast of Disney+'s upcoming series Echo, which is expected to come next year.
He will also voice the character in the new animated series "Spider-Man: Freshman Year."
Daredevil was also seen in "She-Hulk: Attorney at Law" trailer, which was unveiled in San Diego. Cox casting in the show was not previously announced.
