Apple Is Increasing iPhone 14 Production To 95 Million Units To Meet Expected Demand

Apple is ramping up production for the iPhone 14.

The tech giant is reportedly increasing the number of iPhone 14 devices from suppliers by as much as 95 million units as they are expecting to sell more devices.

Apple notified its suppliers that they were expecting that the sales of the iPhone 14 lineup would be more than they initially thought, hence the reason why they increased the production from 90 million to 95 million units.

Apple iPhone 14 Devices

Apple is reportedly giving high-hopes to the next iteration of the next iPhone devices.

Apple has just informed its suppliers that the initial total stock of the iPhone 14 devices will be expanded. The company previously did not anticipate the increase in demand for the next iPhone devices.

However, the forecasted sales changed and Apple decided to increase the supply by approximately 5% more than the original expectation.

According to the Taiwan Economic Times, the Taiwanese supplier TSMC is in charge of the production of most of the chips and the A16 processors that will be used for the devices.

Daliguang will supply the optical lenses. The manufacturing assembly for the printed circuit board is reported to be in Zhending and Huatong, while the assembly plant will be in Hon Hai.

Furthermore, the company is expecting to sell out the iPhone 14 Pro Max, hence the reason why it has the most stock.

To meet the increasing demand while the expected launch is nearing, it has also been reported that the manufacturing companies involved in producing the iPhone 14 are employing more employees.

According to the Taiwan Economic Times, Hon Hai, a factory company supplying Apple, is looking for additional job seekers with a bonus rebate to entice people to apply in an effort to ramp up mass production.

It has been reported that Apple reiterated this sentiment to its suppliers one month ago, saying that the iPhone 14 is likely to perform better than the iPhone 13 series.

Due to the fact that component suppliers have been ramping up component shipments over the past several weeks, it is anticipated that mass production of the iPhone 14 will begin this month.

Rumored iPhone 14 Specs

Apple may not have confirmed the release of the iPhone 14 yet, but tech enthusiasts and Apple fans are expecting devices this year.

The tech industry is expecting the devices to be launched somewhere in September, an assumption made based on the previous launches that the company has made.

According to MacRumors, the iPhone 14 series will include two models with screen sizes of 6.1 inches and two models with screen sizes of 6.7 inches. These models are the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

This will involve the introduction of a total of four new models, including the iPhone 14, the iPhone 14 Max, the iPhone 14 Pro, and the iPhone 14 Pro Max, which will have the most advanced specifications.

It has long been rumored that the company will halt production of the iPhone mini series.

Users can anticipate a number of notable improvements on the higher-end models of the upcoming iPhone lineup, including enhanced camera capabilities thanks to a new lens with 48 megapixels, a new pill-shaped and hole-punch notch replacement, faster performance with the A16 chip, and more.
