HTC One X and HTC One X+ now receiving Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean in UK

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software update has started rolling out to HTC One X and the HTC One X+ in the UK.

The HTC One X and the HTC One X+ are the company's flagship smartphones from 2012. Both handsets are pre-loaded with the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean operating system. However, the HTC One X+ comes with Sense 4+ UI instead of the Sense 4 UI found on the HTC One X. The latest software update will now bring along the latest Sense 5 UI to both the handsets.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software update for HTC One X and One X+ had started rolling out to some select European destinations recently and now UK customers have also started to receive the update.

"The HTC One X+ and HTC One X Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 roll outs continue with users in the United Kingdom reportedly receiving the software updates today, just a few weeks after the update initially touched down," reports GottaBeMobile.

Users have also started reporting that they have begun receiving the software update on their handsets.

"FYI got the update this morning HTC__001 in the UK," reported a user on XDA Developers forum.

An IntoMobile report, meanwhile, claims that the Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean software update is available only for unlocked handsets and individual carriers may soon roll out the update to their subscribers.

The Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean update is expected to bring a host of improvements to the HTC One X and the HTC One X+, including new HTC BlinkFeed home, new lock and screen style to the HTC handsets.

Following the software update owners will find that the battery of their smartphone has become slightly more efficient and will also find the battery percentage in the status bar. The update will also include a new sleep mode switch and an improved notifications panel on the handsets.

Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean will also bring DayDream, Quick Settings toggle and more to the HTC devices.
