HBO Will Continue Airing the Story of 'Harley Quinn' in Its Fourth Season

A few weeks before its third season will conclude this September, HBO announced on Wednesday, August 31, that the animated version of the adult film "Harley Quinn" will have its season four.

According to CNET, Sarah Peters, a consulting producer who has worked on Netflix's "Master of None" and the Comedy Central shows "Nathan for You" and "Workaholics," will replace Justin Halpern and Patrick Schumacker as the film's producer for the fourth season.

Acknowledging the efforts and expertise of Schumacker and Halpern, Billy Wee, the senior VP of Comedy and Animation at HBO Max, said that they could not ask for more talented creators to help them improve the season (via The Hollywood Reporter).

Looking back, the first season revolved around "Harley Quinn's" journey on her own after calling it quits with The Joker. Currently, the Season 3 of "Harley Quinn" revolves around her and Ivy's return to Gotham City as a member of the DC villain power duo to fulfill Ivy's goal of transforming Gotham City into Eden.

Season 3 has voices from Kaley Cuoco, Lake Bell, Ron Funches, JB Smoove, and others. Its viewers will still be getting new episodes on HBO Max until the last one which will come on September 15.

Halpern and Schumacker expressed their excitement that HBO Max wants to carry on Harley and Ivy's story. From the beginning, Ceci Aranovich, who oversaw the animation production, and Peters, who served as producer, significantly impacted the program.

HBO Max Has Been Removing Several Animated and Kids Programs

Due to HBO's recent struggles and the company's merger with Warner Bros. Discovery, numerous animated and kid-friendly programs have been canceled as HBO Max goes through adjustments.

According to Comic Book, a source claims that the streaming service has abruptly terminated another Cartoon Network original. Twitter rumors indicate that "Driftwood" has been terminated was eventually confirmed by industry specialists. The animated movie was released in May 2022 by HBO Max and Cartoon Network.

Victor Courtwright, the creator of "Aquaman: King of Atlantis," was hired to create "Driftwood" this year. The canceled film is a space opera with heart about Clover's search for a lost city with renewable fuel. Clover and his pals are battling to preserve their home and the whole planet from the enemy, a tyrant who takes advantage of people's desire for fuel and wants to destroy the protagonist's home.

A production manager for Cartoon Network is devastated that "Driftwood" was canceled before it could air. Finnjamin Button (Dhubetter) said, "Working on this was such a treat. The whole crew is amazing, and we all were so excited to share this. Now, I'm just heartbroken that no one will see more than this poster."

Nobody is aware of any plans to publish "Driftwood" anywhere in the near future. Many more animated series showing on HBO Max have concluded after this discontinuation. Additionally, Internet users and content creators were shocked by the abrupt deletion of series like "Infinity Train" at the order of Warner Bros. Discovery.
