IFA 2022: Lenovo Unveils IdeaPad 5i Chromebook, ThinkCentre M60q Chromebox

Lenovo unveiled a number of new devices at IFA 2022.

These devices include a new Chromebook and the latest iteration of the ThinkCentre M60q, which has not received an upgrade for quite some time now.

Lenovo is kicking off IFA 2022 by providing its audience a glimpse of what is in store in their holiday line up: the ThinkCentre M60q Chromebox Enterprise and the IdeaPad 5i Chromebook.

Lenovo IdeaPad 5i Chromebook

Lenovo unveiled its first Chromebook, the IdeaPad 5i. The IdeaPad 5i Chromebook is a 16-inch device that is packed with features, maximizing its size and powered by ChromeOS.

According to Engadget, the large panel-size has a 16:10 aspect ratio LCD, and a 1080p web camera is included as a standard feature on the device. In addition, the ideaPad also has a full numpad that has 1.5 mm of key travel and a large trackpad inclusion.

The standard model of the Chromebook includes 64GB of eMMC storage, 4GB of RAM, and an Intel Pentium 8505 processor as base features.

On the other hand, users have the option of upgrading the IdeaPad to include an SSD with up to 512GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, and a 12th-generation Intel Core i3 processor.

The most expensive display has a resolution of 2.5 kilobits per inch, a refresh rate of 120 hertz (Hz), sRGB coverage of 100 percent, and 350 nits of brightness.

The company claims that its IdeaPad 5i can last for 12 hours of use on a single charge of the battery that is built into the device.

This Lenovo Chromebook has a generous number of ports, including a MicroSD card reader, four total USB-C and USB-A ports, an audio jack, Bluetooth 5.0 and WiFi 6E connectivity.

Lenovo unveiled the latest IdeaPad 5i in Europe with a price that starts at €549. It will be available this September. However, the company has stated that it will soon share more information on the pricing and release date in the market.

Lenovo ThinkCentre M60q Chromebox

Up to four monitors can be connected to the ThinkCentre M60q, and it comes standard with Wi-Fi 6E connectivity for lightning-fast internet. It is driven by a 12th Generation Intel Core i5 processor and supports up to 2 DDR4 SODIMMs (3200MHz).

The Lenovo ThinkCentre M60q Enterprise is priced at $323 and will become available to consumers in February 2023.
