Three new Pokemon are coming to Pokemon Unite this month.

Pokemon UNITE tweeted that its next big update is now live, adding three new Pokemon to its roster along with a new map and a handful of classic trainers to go up against.

The game first celebrated its first anniversary over a month ago on July 21, with TiMi Studio and The Pokemon Company offering players tons of activities to participate in and rewards for them to win.

Pokemon Unite mentioned in its announcement on Twitter that the third volume of its first Anniversary is now live while also revealing that Mew, Dodrio, and Scizor will be available separately sometime in September.

According to Pokemon UNITE's tweet, Mew will be available for players to acquire on Sept. 2, while Dodrio will join the game on Sept. 14. Finally, Scizor will be added to the game on Sept. 28.

Mew is a must-have Pokemon if Gamespot's article is anything to go by. According to the publication's article, it is a ranged attacker that has more learnable moves than other Pokemon. It can also forget and learn moves again during battle, an ability that is mostly unique to Mew.

To get Mew during the event, players will need to participate in the game's "Mew's Mural Challenge" event to collect Mew mural fragments. However, Pokemon UNITe didn't disclose how players will earn fragments.

Pokemon UNITE also added a new map called the Theia Sky Ruins Unearthed, which is a floating arena with Legendary Pokemon to fight.

The new map also has gimmicks of its own, with aspects of the map changing compared to other maps in the game.

It will also change out the wild Pokemon and objectives too, per Dot eSports.

These changes mean that Zapdos will be replaced by Rayquaza as the map's final objective. Players that do defeat Rayquaza will gain a temporary shield that increases attack power and makes goal-scoring attempts unblockable.

It will also host the Legacy Trainer Showdowns, a new event that will start on Sept. 9 and end on Oct. 7.

The Showdowns lets players battle characters from the main Pokemon games and anime, which include Leon, Cynthia, Korrina, Raihan, and Green.

For those who have forgotten or are unfamiliar with these names, Raihan and Leon came from Pokemon Sword and Shield, while Korrina is from Pokemon X and Y.

On the other hand, Cynthia is from Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, while Green is from Pokemon Red and Green.
