Apple Watch Ultra Has Been Announced: Price, Features, and More

Apple just unveiled its broader, more rugged, and longer-lasting athlete-friendly Apple Watch Ultra, following several forecasts made last year.

Here's What You Should Know About Apple's Watch Ultra

After repeated predictions last year, Apple has just recently released its larger, more durable, and longer-lasting Apple Watch Ultra, which is very athlete-friendly.

After several claims last year that said Apple would launch a smartwatch that is perfectly fit for sporty people, the tech giant has finally launched its Apple Watch Ultra in its recently concluded iPhone 2022 event that happened on Wednesday, September 7.

A story published by Engadget has verified that the past reports were accurate since the Apple Watch Ultra indeed has a bigger, more robust, and longer-lasting smartwatch. Its premium features clearly show how this smartwatch fits outdoor-active individuals and varies significantly from the Watch Series 8.

According to The Verge, Watch Ultra has a 49mm aerospace-grade titanium frame with sapphire crystals attached to its 2,000 nits display. It is also made up of Action control, an enhanced crown, and improved built-in microphones, among many of its impressive features.

The Ultra Watch boasts upgraded speakers allowing users to hear and be listened to by anybody or whatever you are listening to from the device, even outdoors. The 86-decibel siren may also be audible up to 600 feet away, which is a beneficial safety feature for its owner.

Because of its updated placement algorithms and L5 frequency setup, GPS has become more precise than before. The sensor in the Watch Ultra may measure a wearer's temperature, follow a woman's menstrual cycle, and offer health information. At the same time, its barometers have also been optimized for better heart monitoring, SOS, and fall detection.

With its new low-power mode, the Watch Ultra's 36-hour battery life may be extended to 60 hours, allowing it to finish a long-distance triathlon. It also has watchOS upgrades primarily intended for adventurous activities like hiking and diving due to its WR 100 waterproof feature.

You may have your hands on these features offered by the newly released $799 watch on September 23 once you pre-ordering today.

iOS 16 Will be Accessible for Free Download this September

The Apple Ultra Watch is not the only long-rumored and anticipated Apple product that was made available at Apple's event last September 7. This is because the business has also released the second-generation noise-canceling wireless AirPods Pro (via CNet).

With the most recent H2 system and the low-distortion controllers, the Airpods Pro 2 now has a better processing capability giving a deeper and more precise sound.

In addition, some improvements have been made to its transparency mode as it is more adaptive this time, thus maintaining a user's connection to their environment and making them aware of what is happening around while using the devices. This is despite the Airpods' ability to cancel noises up to times compared to its predecessor.

Compared to the five hours endurance of the previous versions, this newest release has longevity up to six hours after one charger, primarily because its case provides an additional four hours of power.

If used with the Find My function, its case's ability will not just be limited to delivering extra charging time as it will be capable of producing sound thanks to its bottom speakers.

Similar to Apple's recent gadgets, its shipment will begin on September 23, but you may pre-order the Airpods Pro 2, which will cost you $249, on September 9, Friday.
