Elden Ring’s Soundtrack is Now Available on Spotify, YouTube, and Apple Music

Elden Ring players know how great the game's soundtrack is, regardless of what they're doing in-game. Whether they're exploring the Lands Between or are facing the Lichdragon Fortissax, players can be assured that their immersion will never break.

For those who really enjoy the game's soundtrack, FromSoftware has a gift for you.

The popular game developer has announced that it is making the game's entire soundtrack available on streaming services worldwide, allowing Elden Ring players to feel as if they are in the Lands Between wherever they go.

Elden Ring Soundtrack Streaming Details

Tsukasa Saito, FromSoftware's lead sound design and composer, mentioned in a PlayStation Blog post that the company is releasing a 67-track album on streaming services worldwide, which includes all the music the game developer composed for the game.

Eurogamer mentioned in its article that the game's soundtrack was variously composed by Tsukasa Saitoh, Shoi Miyazawa, Yuka Kitamura, Yoshimi Kudo, and Tai Tomisawa. These people were also noted to have worked on other FromSoft games, such as the Souls series, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, and Bloodborne.

According to Saito, he and his team were highly conscious of keywords and phrases such as "an epic tale," composure and resilience," and eloquence," as they wanted the game's music to feel different from the Souls series or Bloodborne.

He also recounted in the blog post how they developed Elden Ring's soundtrack to make certain pieces feel appropriate for the situation at hand, such as "Song of Honor" and the game's title theme.

Saito mentioned that he and his team originally intended to record the track with the choir members only but realized that doing so won't do. He explained that a gathering place for many mercenaries and soldiers wouldn't necessarily be filled with singers.

As a result, instead of having the choir members sing, Saito had the members of the brass section do the job.

However, the track that Saito was attached to the most was the game's title theme, which needs to convey something different from FromSoft's previous titles.

"We spent a long time obsessing over and fine-tuning the details and tonal qualities of this piece, and I think as a result we achieved something that embodies the themes of the game, and became a strong directional pillar for the rest of the music," Saito said. "I think we made a good piece for when players start up the game, stirring their motivation and excitement for heading out on their adventure to become Elden Lord."

The game developer also made the soundtrack available on Amazon Music, Deezer, Qobuz, and Tidal.

To celebrate the soundtrack's release, Bandai Namco released a video featuring some behind-the-scenes footage of the Budapest Film Orchestra's sessions while working on the soundtrack on YouTube.
