Samsung Galaxy Note 3 will be available on various Canadian carriers and retailers

Samsung has taken the wraps off the long-awaited Galaxy Note 2 and now the phablet has been confirmed for various Canadian carriers and retailers.

The wait is over for many phablet enthusiasts as Samsung finally introduced the Galaxy Note 3 on Sept. 4. The phablet will hit the shelves globally in the latter half of September and now many customers will be keenly waiting to get their hands on the device as soon as possible.

"The Galaxy Note 3 will be coming to Canada later this year on multiple carriers. We've received word that Bell, Rogers, TELUS, Mobilicity, MTS, SaskTel, Videotron, and WIND Mobile will be carrying the 5.7-inch smartphone in the coming months, though pricing has not been made available. In addition, the phablet will also hit major retailers including Best Buy, Future Shop, Target Mobile, Tbooth wireless, The Mobile Shop, The Source, WIRELESSWAVE and WIRELESS etc.," reports Mobile Syrup.

The Galaxy Note 3 packs in top-end hardware specifications along with enhanced and new software features. The company also announced the Galaxy Gear smartwatch, which is currently only compatible with the Galaxy Note 3. However, the Galaxy S4 and the Galaxy S3 will soon get a software update so the smartwatch can be paired with these handsets too.

The Galaxy Note 3 has been launched with two processors that will be available in different markets. A 2.3GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor will power the 4G model of the handset. Currently, the Snapdragon 800 processor is one of the most powerful processors found on mobile handsets and only a handful of devices pack it under the hood. The 3G model of the Galaxy Note 3 will include a 1.9GHz octa-core processor.

Canadian customers will get the 4G model of the handset with the powerful Snapdragon 800 processor.

The Galaxy Note 3 will look to attract customers eyeing a bigger smartphone with top-notch features. With high-end hardware specifications on board, the handset will probably be one of the most expensive smartphones available on the market.

However, we will have to wait a bit longer until individual carriers confirm the prices and the exact release date of the Galaxy Note 3 in Canada.
