Genshin Impact fans are in for something grand in celebration of the game's second anniversary.

Video game developer HoYoverse recently announced that this year's Genshin Impact global online concert will be held in early October and will be presented by various musicians and composers from around the world.

You may remember that Genshin Impact was first released for mobile devices, the PC, and PlayStation consoles on Sept. 28, 2020, per Game8.

Genshin Concert 2022 Details

HoYoverse mentioned in its announcement that it would live stream its upcoming Genshin Concert 2022 - Melodies of an Endless Journey event on Oct. 2, 2022, which is a few days after the game's second anniversary.

According to the popular game developer, the concert will be 75 minutes long and will feature "authentic renditions and creative adaptations" of popular Genshin Impact soundtracks.

HoYoverse explained in its announcement that the soundtracks selected for the concert would be "reimagined in contemporary styles" from its game counterpart.

Although HoYoverse didn't mention which tracks will be "creatively adapted," it did state that the concert will cover most if not all songs and soundtracks featured during the first two years of the game.

To make the event even more special and memorable, HoYoverse invited world-famous composer, arranger, and music producer Shiro Sagisu as the event's music director.

Sagisu is best known for his contribution as a music producer and composer for many much-beloved anime, such as "Neon Genesis Evangelion," "Bleach," and "SSS.Gridman."

"The original Genshin Impact soundtracks fit perfectly into the actual in-game scenes and ambiance, and also provide much to imagine beyond the game," Sagisu said. "Together with the HOYO-MiX team and global artists, we've tried different touches to the music, weaving elements of pop music, rock, and jazz into it."

Sagisu added that he hopes that he and the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra can create a "refreshing and fun experience for the players" watching the concert.

The company also invited the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra to partner up with Shiro Sagisu and take Genshin Impact fans and the concert's audiences to Teyvat through their music with the previously mentioned contemporary reimagining.

Interestingly, the Hollywood Chamber Orchestra will be conducted by music conductor and composer Eímear Noone, who is best known for her work on soundtracks for various games, such as Starcraft II: Wings of Liberty, Metal Gear Solid, Diablo III, and Overwatch, per her IMDb page.
