Amazon is innovating Alexa by adding a new selection of skills designed to give its users a more proactive experience.

Amazon introduced today the improved Alexa with a number of new smart features deeply integrated into a range of devices to fuel and deliver experiences that can make the day-to-day lives of its owners better.

Access Fun Family Features Through Alexa

With a handful of new additions, the latest Alexa brings more entertainment to family time by launching Fire TV on Echo Show 15, a smart cloud device that doubles as a kitchen TV. This extension allows users to watch millions of contents through quick and easy pull ups triggered by a simple voice command, as reported by TechCrunch

Meanwhile, Disney fans can also access the new Hey Disney that gives kids and kids at heart with a Kids+ subscription access to immersive entertainment featuring all their Disney favorites.

Alexa's update also lets kids co-create stories, following customizable prompts. This feature makes an engaging activity for children to enjoy by using fun visuals and captivating music all tailored to fit kids' preferences.

Reviewed writes that Creative AI also allows its young users to use a variety of templates and state-of-the-art AI innovations to craft a unique visual story and animated characters personalized to their liking.

Personalize Your Everyday Routine

Millions of customers use Alexa Routines every day for personalized content specific to each person in the household, and soon, this experience will allow them to receive personalized results for certain actions as recognized by the system.

Through new extensions, Alexa tells its users about upcoming meetings based on their individual calendars, recent traffic updates along the way, and even gives weather insights and forecasts that could impact any outdoor activity for as far as 10 days out, says Amazon

With the new Alexa, users can now record video sticky notes or video messages that can be displayed for anyone in the home on the users' Echo Show screen or Alexa app. It can leave reminders for a family operating on different schedules by simply saying "Alexa, record a sticky note."

Alexa now also supports remote switches that control gadgets, offering the option to read the news, and turn the lights off in the household with one push of a button.

Keeping Things On-The-Go

Amazon reveals that Alexa is getting Shop the Look, which makes it easier to shop for clothing, home, and beauty products by describing what the users want to see in a product. Its AI-based skill allows easy clothing searches using the Alexa Teacher Model, Engadget explained.

A new Roadside Assistance feature also connects Alexa users with an agent who can assess the situation for support while driving, or during a road emergency.

Additionally, customers can now tell Alexa to make their to-do and shopping lists, get updates on their Whole Foods orders, check notifications, and keep users connected-hands free, within the comforts of their vehicles.

For those with Echo Auto, Alexa also lets users know if there is a Hunch or unlocked doors left in the home when no one is there, even if they are halfway to work.

Connecting Loved Ones and Communities

Communication is made more convenient and simpler with Alexa's new features that let users stay easily connected with family and friends, even from miles away.

Alexa Together, a service designed to help aging customers feel more comfortable living independently, provides hands-free access to Urgent Response as needed. This allows up to 10 caregivers to stay connected with their loved ones through a smart home device that provides activity alerts.

Finally, Alexa's Mobile Call Captioning feature enables users to see real-time captioning for calls made with Echo Show devices. This helps people communicate across loud environments and with others who are deaf and hard of hearing.

This feature will be available in North America, Mexico, and Brazil, and will be supported in English, Portuguese, Spanish, and French for its multilingual users.
