5 Warning Signs That You Need to Replace Your TV

Television can be considered a central aspect of your entertainment system. Whether you are fond of watching drama, or highly interested in sports, TV has a central role in how you spend your leisure time.

The importance of TV in your life goes deeper than being a medium for entertainment. In a deeper sense, TV shapes the world as it triggers the imagination and educates people about culture and society.

While you are surrounded by other forms of technology that can give you information about the world and can provide you the entertainment that you need, you would still crave the company of television. 

That's why, it is annoying when all of a sudden, the TV isn't working. Before your TV reached the end of its life, replace it. Here are the warning signs that your television unit needs a replacement.

1. Your TV Turns Off Randomly

Your TV turning off all of a sudden while you're in the middle of watching something is an indicator that your unit is nearing the end of its life, as per Point Clicker. But just to be sure, check whether the sudden blackout is not due to power failure. Check if your unit is properly plugged in. 

You might also want to check the sleep timer as it is also possible that you've just accidentally set it. But upon checking and you found that the blackout is not due to the stated reasons, it is a sign that your TV needs a replacement soon.

2. Your TV Does Not Work With Other Gadgets and Services

Nowadays, there are already smart TVs that lets you stream your favorite show without needing a computer. If your TV does not have this feature and you cannot enjoy the full benefits of watching your favorite shows on a big screen, perhaps its time to upgrade your unit. 

Moreover, there are already 4K TVs that allow you to play games on your screen in high resolution. If your TV still pixelate when you play games, it's a sign that you need to get a new TV.

3. Your TV Shows Blurry Picture

You might notice that after some years, the picture quality of your TV is not how it used to be. Instead of showing a nice, crisp, brilliant picture, it shows blurry ones. The blurry picture could be due to a failing backlight. Nevertheless, a blurry TV would not give a good quality entertainment. So, when you notice this, go to the nearest store and get a new TV.

4. You Can See Colored Lines Across Your TV Screen

You might see some red, blue or greenish lines across your TV. This indicates that there is something wrong with the hardware of your unit, according to Rent A Center. This may be due to some loose cables within the screen. These lines across your TV could affect your over all viewing experience. You might consider replacing your TV soon.

5. Your TV is Having Crackling Sounds

A crackling sound that you can hear when your TV is turned on is an indicator that there is a problem with your unit's hardware. This is also an indicator your TV is dying soon and its about time to get a new one.
