Verizon Offers New Prepaid Plan Lineup with Lowered Prices

Verizon is now offering a new prepaid plan lineup at a lowered price. The company is now offering three options for its prepaid plan lineup including the 15GB data, and the two unlimited plans called Unlimited and Unlimited Plus, according to CNET.

Prices of the Prepaid Plans

The telecommunication company has lowered the prices of its prepaid plans. The 15GB plan now starts at $45 per month. Meanwhile, the Unlimited Plan is priced at $60 per month while the Unlimited Plus costs $70 per month with autopay.

These plans were $5 more expensive previously at $50, $65, and $75, respectively.

You can save an additional $10 per month on each plan if you sign-up for autopay. According to Verizon, Autopay discounts takes effect after the first month. The price of the plan drops to $35 for the 15GB.

Meanwhile, the cost of the Unlimited plan drops to $50 after the first month, while the Unlimited Plus drops to $60.

These lowered prices prepaid plan may appear familiar to you. It's because Verizon prepaid plans had hit this low before.

But previously, in order to enjoy the lower rates, you have to be engaged in the plan for around 10+ months so that you can earn loyalty discounts. Once you earn the loyalty discount, you can enjoy the lowered price prepaid plan. 

But with these new plans from the telecommunication company, you can get those lower prices when you avail autopay. 

If you decide not to use autopay, you can still opt for the loyalty discounts to enjoy the lowered price prepaid plan.

Features and Perks of the Prepaid Plans

The 15GB prepaid plan and the Unlimited plan have minimal features. In fact, the mid-tier Unlimited plan connects only to low-band Nationwide 5G. Moreover, it is only getting a modest 5GB hotspot allowance. 

Meanwhile, you will be able to enjoy more perks with the Unlimited Plus plan as it includes access to 5G Ultra-Wideband for midband and mmWave 5G.

In addition, you will get 50GB of data on the 5G Nationwide / 4G LTE. You can also take advantage of the 25 GB of hotspot data plus access to Global Choice international calling and six months of Disney Plus.

The telecommunication company launched its new prepaid plans ahead of the company's third quarter earnings report. It also comes after the company introduced its own low-cost prepaid brand. The said brand will be sold in retail stores like Target and Walmart. 

The low-cost prepaid brand is called Total by Verizon. The plan starts at $30 per month and comes with 5GB of high-speed data.

Verizon is an American multinational telecommunications conglomerate and a corporate component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average. 

The headquarter of the company is located at Midtown Manhattan, New York City, however, it is incorporated in Delaware.

The telecommunication company expanded into content ownership in 2015 when it acquired AOL. After two years, the company acquired Yahoo! Inc.

The two acquisition, AOL and Yahoo, were eventually amalgamated into a new division. In January 2019, the new division was rebranded.
