There is more content for The Callisto Protocol content coming players' way.

Video game developer Striking Distance Studios recently announced it would release six months of content, along with two free updates to the games, for its newly released survival horror game early next year.

Striking Distance set The Callisto Protocol's release date at Dec. 2, per Dual Shockers.

The Callisto Protocol Season Pass Details

Striking Distance mentioned in a tweet on the official The Callisto Protocol Twitter page that it will bring six months of content to the game through its season pass starting Feb. 7, 2023. It also mentioned that the content would come with a New Game+ and Hardcore Modes for players to enjoy.

To be specific, all players of The Callisto Protocol will receive a free update unlocking the game's New Game+ and Hardcore Modes on Feb. 7, 2023, while those who bought its season pass will get the Outer Way Skin Collection on the same day.

The Outer Way Skin Collection allows players with the season to wear the armor of the Outer Way, an underground insurgency formed to go against the United Jupiter Company, while they try to survive the horrors of Jupiter's moon, Callisto, per Video Games Chronicle.

Afterward, Striking Distance will release two content bundles, the Contagion and Riot Bundles, and more story content sometime in March, Spring, and Summer of 2023, respectively.

According to the game's store page on The Epic Games Store, The Callisto Protocol's Contagion Bundle unlocks a new Contagion Mode that reduces the game's ammo and health drops, a customizable difficulty, and permadeath. It also includes 13 new death animations for players to get the most out of Jacob's death in the standard difficulties and Contagion mode.

The Contagion Bundle also comes with the Watchtower Skin Collection which adds the Watchtower Skin for players to use in the game.

Meanwhile, the Riot Bundle unlocks Riot Mode and a previously undiscovered area of Black Iron Prison in the game for players to enjoy the new mode. In this mode, they will have to battle waves upon waves of enemies to gather credits and exchange them for weapon upgrades or forge new ones to survive the waves as long as they can.

Finally, the season pass will provide players with a lore-heavy DLC that will let players discover "the horrifying secrets" behind The Callisto Protocol. According to Gameranx, the story DLC could have the answers behind Jacob being in Black Iron Prison, the reason behind why the prisoners are mutating, and why Jacob is not turning into one of them.

The Callisto Protocol Season Pass Price And Availability

The Callisto Protocol's season pass is available on Steam, the Epic Games Store, the PlayStation Store, and the Xbox Store for $29.99.

However, players can get the season pass with the base game along with other add-ons by purchasing the Digital Deluxe Edition for $80 on PC and $90 on the PlayStation Store and Xbox Store, per Gaming Bolt.
