'Among Us' Hide 'n Seek Mode to be Released on December 9

Among Us became a sensation that can be played on various platforms. The game is set to release a new game mode on December 9th, which has been announced at The Game Awards 2022 by the game's developer, Innersloth.

What's New with the Game?

The developer mentioned that the "Hide 'n Seek" mode comes with many additions. There are new things that a player needs to survive from, and there was even talk of screaming. It's not specified what the screaming entails, but we'll soon find out.

The game will also offer new cosmetics and pets for players to choose from, as well as pets. The pets can be petted now too, as mentioned in The Verge. These are just the additions mentioned by Among Us via Twitter, but it was also implied that there is more.

There are changes in some of the major mechanics in the original game, but it could be fun for those who prefer openly hunting crewmates if they do get the role of the imposter. One thing hasn't changed, and that's crewmates being careful not to get killed while doing tasks.

Instead of the imposter using the vents, it will be the crewmates running around to hide from the culprit. The imposter can now roam freely without hiding in sheep's clothing, just searching for crewmates to devour, as mentioned in The Gamer.

 Jumping into Virtual Reality

In case you missed it, Among Us came to the Meta Quest 2 VR headset. As of November 10th, people can play with up to nine players in Among Us VR. You'll have the same tasks you did on screen, but this time you'll be more immersed.

With the new mode coming your way, you might just experience hunting down crewmates in virtual reality. If it's been a while since you played the game, maybe two major upgrades with both platform and gameplay might bring you back.
