Firefox 108 Lets Users Save Websites As PDF Files

The latest version of Mozilla Firefox is finally out with a number of upgrades with the browser's version 108, which is available for widespread release on Android smartphones.

According to Android Police, Firefox version 108 comes with a series of improvements to make users' browsing experience better, like letting users save websites as PDF files.

Firefox Is Ready To Rival Chrome Again

Google Chrome has become the leading browser globally, but there are many third-party browsers available, and one of the better ones for Android is Mozilla Firefox.

Mozilla Firefox is a long-time competitor of Chrome, but it is undeniable that it is far from dominating the market as its rival continues to grow and expand.

However, Firefox remains a solid alternative browser as it is one of the few browsers that are not based on Chromium.

With the launch of its newest version, Mozilla is adding amazing features like Firefox 108, which now lets users save websites as PDF files through simple and easy steps.

Users can save a website as a PDF file on Firefox for desktop by heading to the Print menu and choosing the option to save the website as a PDF.

It is important to note that the print feature has been absent from the Android version of Firefox, which is what users need Chrome to save a webpage as PDF.

However, Firefox version 108 fixes that oversight with this update that adds an option to save a website directly as a PDF file that users can read online.

Mozilla Is Also Launching Other Improvements For Firefox

Android Police writes that in addition to letting users save websites as PDFs, Firefox also lets users have the option to open bookmarks in a folder at once in tabs.

This improvement feature is available in Firefox's three-dot menu right next to the bookmarks folder, where users can choose to open all new or recent tabs.

Additionally, Windows 11 users also get support for efficiency mode on Firefox, which is meant to reduce the usage of resources when background tabs are open.

Firefox also addressed the Web MIDI issue on its browser by introducing a new security mechanism to prevent and optionally permit apps inside browser tabs to access hardware.

On Firefox 108, Shift-Esc on the keyboard will now activate the process manager, which lists all open processes and makes it easier to identify those that consume excessive amounts of resources.

Furthermore, according to Mozilla's release notes, frame scheduling under load has been enhanced, which has raised "Firefox's MotionMark ratings," GHacks reports.

Additionally, there are minor upgrades in a few areas that are only noticeable to web designers, such as ICC color processing, Javascript imports, and CSS trigonometric function.

Mozilla urges users to look through the change log if they want to learn more about the update because it has a ton of security and bug improvements in the Firefox 108 release.
