7 Smart Home Devices You Can Add to Your Bedroom

Technological innovations make our lives easier by taking over simple tasks with just a voice command. Smart devices are being developed every day for our homes, specifically our living rooms, kitchens, and even bathrooms. Here are a couple of smart devices for your bedroom as well.

1. Smart Curtains and Blinds

Waking up in the morning is easier to do once morning light enters your room, and it's more comfortable to sleep when you close your curtains to make the room cozier. Both need you to get up either way to open or close your window blinds or curtains.

You won't have to if you install smart curtains or blinds since a voice command would suffice. You can even set up schedules and routines depending on your device so that it would open or close at an appointed time, as suggested by Smart Home Insider.

2. Smart Electric Heater

How will you be able to sleep with all that teeth-chattering noise? A smart electric heater is a good addition to your bedroom especially when that winter breeze starts setting in. You can warm the room up without the need to get out of your blankets.

There are electric heaters you can control using an app, where you can assign a schedule for it to turn on at times when it really starts to get cold. You can even control them using Alexa or Google Home along with your other smart devices.

3. Smart Bed

The bed is the most important part of a bedroom, so why not upgrade that as well? There are smart beds that can monitor your sleep, heart rate, and respiratory rate. You can also adjust the bed with simple voice commands, depending on the brand, of course.

If making the bed in the morning is one of the menial tasks you hate, there are also smart beds that can fix themselves when you get up in the morning, as suggested by Make Use Of. No need to arrange your bed in such a groggy state after waking up.

4. Smart Air Purifier

One of the factors in having a good night's sleep is the quality of the air in your bedroom. A stuffy bedroom will be a thing of the past once you purchase an air purifier. But, why settle for a simple one when you can buy a smart one?

Smart air purifiers will keep your room's air healthy by monitoring the quality of the air. It can also update you with reports about the condition of the air in your room. Some also have HEPA filters that get rid of particles like dust, smoke, pet dander, and other pesky allergens.

Once you get comfortable under your sheets, getting up becomes one of the hardest things you have to do. You can install smart light bulbs so you won't have to get up to turn the lights off. Some even have settings that let you adjust the brightness for better ambiance when you sleep.

6. Smart Plugs

There are still appliances you need that don't have a smart version yet, but there's a way to work around that. You can buy a smart plug that you can control using your phone or through voice commands to power a device or appliance up.

All your smart devices activated through voice command becomes useless when there's no way to control them. Get yourself a smart speaker so you'll have a central control system for all the smart devices in your room, using your preferred voice assistant.
