2. Changing Mouse Acceleration

Mouse acceleration is normally known as mouse speed. It refers to the speed at which the cursor of the mouse moves on the screen. This also includes the time taken by the mouse during button press or double-click. We have the option to increase or decrease the mouse acceleration.

We can even disable mouse acceleration on mac. Disabling mouse acceleration needed when the cursor of the mouse disturbs during the gaming as it ruins the gaming experience.

Here's how you can increase or decrease mouse acceleration

  • In the Apple menu, go to System Preferences  and select Mouse.

  • At the top of window, click on the Point & Click

  • Under Tracking Speed, the slider will work as tracking speed.

  • If you drag it to the right, it will increase tracking speed.

  • If you drag it to the left, it will decrease the tracking speed.

You should choose a normal level of tracking speed, as high tracking speed implies to make less movement of mouse to move the cursor and low tracking speed implies to increase movement of mouse to move the cursor.
