Honkai: Star Rail, the latest entry in the beloved Honkai franchise, takes players on an epic interstellar voyage with brand new storytelling, characters, and gameplay.

HoYoverse mentioned in its announcement that it is opening its pre-registration for Honkai Star Rail on Feb. 10 to welcome global players to participate in its milestone-challenging campaign, per Games Press.

This campaign counts how many people have pre-registered for Honkai: Star Rail and then shows how many more people are needed to acquire certain rewards.

Here is a list of those rewards with their corresponding milestone requirement:

  • 50,000 Credits - 500,000 registrants
  • 3 Star Rail Passes - 1 million registrants
  • "Trailblazer - Welcome" Avatar - 2 million registrants
  • 4-Star Character Serval - 3.5 million registrants
  • 15 Star Rail Pass - 5 million registrants

As of press time, there are around one million registrants for the game, meaning that when players log into the game, they will get 50,000 Credits and three Star Rail Passes immediately. These rewards include getting up to 20 Star Rail Passes and 4-Star playable character Serval when the game officially launches.

They seem to be in addition to the rewards players get when the game officially launches.

What Is Honkai: Star Rail?

Honkai: Star Rail is a space fantasy RPG that takes players on a journey through the world of the unknown. Players take the role of the Trailblazer, who was implanted with a Stellaron, in their quest to pursue the trials of Aeons to explore the realms of the universe abroad the Astral Express.

These Aeons are incarnations of universal principles that can freely travel between infinite worlds using some kind of primitive force.

The game features dynamic turn-based combat, which is a departure from HoYoverse's combat mechanics featured in its latest RPGs. It also has large dungeons that you can freely explore when you're not engaged in combat.

HoYoverse also included puzzle-solving in the game, along with storylines that can immerse players for hours on end.

The game seems to be set in a different universe from HoYoverse's other games, such as Honkai Impact 3rd and Genshin Impact. However, Honkai: Star Rail features some characters that are also present in Honkai Impact 3rd, such as Himeko, Bronya, Seele, and Welt.

Although HoYoverse has yet to announce the game's official release date, Games Radar reports that searching for "Cognosphere" in your preferred mobile app store will list Honkai: Star Rail's release date as "expected April 26, 2023." This date only appears in the proper app store, so people searching for it through the game's store page on the web won't see this date.

HoYoverse has yet to address this piece of information.

Honkai Star Rail will soon be available for the PC through HoYoverse's official website o the Epic Games Store as well as iOS and Android devices.
