What are the 5 Best TV shows on Apple TV+ as of April 2023?

Apple TV+ never misses when it comes to quality TV shows. It is the streaming service that gave us "Ted Lasso," "Servant," "Shrinking" and "Black Bird." It is sometimes hard to keep up with the number of new series added to its catalogue every month, so it is advisable to catch the top-recommended Apple TV+ shows while you still can.

As for April 2023, there is a strong lineup of TV series that you shouldn't miss.

'The Last Thing He Told Me' (2023)

Based on the novel of the same name, the limited series starring Jennifer Garner, Angourie Rice and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau tells the story of a woman named Hannah (played by Garner) searching for his husband after he went missing.

She found her most unlikely confidante through her teenage stepdaughter, the child of her missing husband, even though the two have not really gotten along. Unfortunately, as Hannah uncovered the secrets leading to her husband's whereabouts, she also unwittingly found out many things about her husband that made her question if he was the same man that she fell in love with.

'Jane' (2023)

This family drama series starring Ava Louise Murchison, Mason Blomberg and Tamara Almeida recounts the events in the early life of primatologist and anthropologist Dr. Jane Goodall. However, the story revolves around a 9-year-old girl named Jane, who is sharing the same name with Dr. Goodall. Little Jane idolizes Dr. Goodall so much that she is very much inspired and determined to protect animals "of all kinds" in the world, as per Digital Trends.

Jane is joined by her best friend named David and a chimpanzee named Greybeard to protect all kinds of animals around the world.

Apple TV+'s "Jane" is a popular choice among families that are looking for something worthwhile to watch, especially for those families that wanted to teach their children at a young age about the importance of the environment and the animals that live on it.

'The Essex Serpent' (2022)

Starring Claire Danes, Tom Hiddleston, Frank Dillane, Hayley Squires, Clémence Poésy and Jamael Westman, "The Essex Serpent" is a Gothic drama series from Apple TV+ that dwells on the possibility that a mythological serpent actually exists in our world.

A newly-widowed woman named Cora decided to start anew in the Essex countryside, but the rumored Essex serpent caused some trouble for her. His relationship with a local vicar (played by Hiddleston) is complicated as the two have opposing views on the existence of the serpent.

'Extrapolations' (2023)

This TV series starring Meryl Streep, Sienna Miller, Kit Harington, Edward Norton and Diane Lane carries a very timely message. "Extrapolations" dwells on the possible futures for Earth as climate change continues to affect every life. It features eight different stories that are interconnected through the lives of the characters, according to Collider.

Apple TV+ subscribers for the month of April 2023 are in for a treat as "Extrapolations" aims to tell as many different stories as possible. However, these stories meet at a common central point, which is global warming.

'Severance' (2022)

Starring Adam Scott, Zach Cherry, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Jen Tullock, Dichen Lachman and Michael Chernus, "Severance" is probably one of the reasons why paying for a monthly subscription of Apple TV+ is worth every penny.

The premise of the TV show is about a medical procedure called "severance," which has become controversial as it involves altering a person's actual memories without their control. In the case of the TV show, severance is done to office employees whenever they log in and out for the day.
