Airbnb Room Booking

Before Airbnb started renting out entire houses, it actually started off by renting rooms in a home occupied by the host. The booking service is returning the option and claims that it will be a much cheaper choice, with 80% of private rooms only costing less than $100 a night.

The company believes that with the current economic state, people who want to travel need cheaper accommodations. In order to travel and really get an authentic experience out of it, staying with a local is the best way to do so.

Airbnb co-founder and CEO Brian Chesky said that they are going back to the company's founding ethos of sharing, where Airbnb Rooms are often more budget-friendly than hotel rooms, and that is the soul of Airbnb.

So guests would feel more comfortable, they can get to know the host first before booking the room through Host Passport. Taping it will show the host's photo, along with other details such as where they went to school, what they do for work, facts about themself, and more information, according to the Airbnb blog post.

Airbnb Rooms Category can also help you scan through listings that fit your needs. There are over one million private bedrooms to look through, The listings will include shared spaces such as the host's kitchen, living room, and more.

The company has added new privacy features so you'll be comfortable in a shared space. All listed rooms will indicate whether or not the room has a lock, if you'll use a shared bathroom or a private one, and if the Host will be home for the duration of your stay.

Redesigned filters will make it easier for you to switch listing categories. The "type of place" filter can let you indicate whether you're looking for a room, an entire home, or other sorts of places, along with the average price of the places.

With the total price display, guests can see the total price of their booking. They can view the fees before taxes throughout the entire app. It will also be indicated in search results, price filters, maps, and listing pages.

Guests can learn about the checkout instructions before they even book. The information can be found on the listing page and will come up again as a reminder before their stay ends. Airbnb will remove listings with "unreasonable chores" and low ratings.
